Welcome to a Day at St Erth School
Our school day runs from 8:40am to 3:20pm, with registration taking place between 8:40am and 8:50am. This means children at St Erth enjoy a total of 32.5 hours of learning each week.
Arriving at School
Each morning, Mrs Bradbury will be at the gate from 8:40am to welcome the children. Please note that we are unable to take responsibility for children before this time unless prior arrangements have been made with the school office.
At both the start and end of the day, we kindly ask parents to drop off and collect children at the school gate. However, parents of children in Treen Class are welcome to accompany them into the classroom if needed. If your usual pick-up plans change (for example, if someone else is collecting your child or you’re running late), please let us know as soon as possible to avoid any confusion or upset.
Breakfast Club
Our Breakfast Club runs daily from 8:00am to 8:40am. If you’d like your child to attend, please book a place through the school office.
Children love starting their day here—there’s a relaxed atmosphere with fun activities like arts and crafts, games, and time to catch up with friends. You’re welcome to drop your child off at any time during the session. Breakfast is optional, but if your child would like to eat, please let us know in advance. We offer a choice of cereals, toast, fruit juice, or milk.

Our Wonderful School Grounds
At St Erth School, we’re incredibly lucky to be surrounded by beautiful, spacious grounds that give our children the freedom to play, explore, and enjoy the outdoors all within a safe and secure environment.
We believe in the power of community, which is why we have offer mixed Key Stage playtimes. This allows children of different ages to play together, build friendships across year groups, and look out for one another, reflecting our vision of a caring, inclusive school family.
Our outdoor spaces are full of exciting opportunities for play and discovery. Children can enjoy:
- A woodland area where imaginations run wild with den building and nature-inspired creations.
- A large playing field ideal for football, rounders, and other team games
- Adventure play equipment for both infants and juniors
- Brightly painted playground games that encourage active play and teamwork.
- Our wooden cabin- full of games and activities over lunchtime
Our outdoor environment is a much-loved part of school life, offering something for every child, whether they’re looking for adventure, creativity, or a quiet moment with a book
The afternoon session finishes at 3.20pm. The children may have an afternoon break, but that is at the teacher's discretion.
